Owner Sandra Scaffidi previously worked with engineering and architectural professionals, in the non-profit realm as well as with municipal governments and brings a dynamic and varied background to her efforts.
Sandra holds a Masters Degree from Colorado State University in Public History and Historic Preservation and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Binghamton University. She has conducted architectural studies as well as historic research throughout the United States.
John Pitman is a Preservation Associate and Designer with over 20 years experience in Civil Engineering in addition to his passion for historic preservation. Bringing an engineer's meticulous focus to every project, John is responsible for graphic design, GIS mapping, and data collection. John appreciates the history and craftsmanship of historic buildings.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation has approved Practical Preservation as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and we are now certified under NACIS Code 541720 Research and Development in the Social Sciences (Historic Preservation Consulting Services).
We strive to maintain a safe work environment and have completed the USACE Safety and Health 40 Hour Training course (EM385-1-1) as well as the Red Cross CPR and First Aid Training course.
